Introductions Are In Order

When I was a kid, I connected with movies and television more than books. They became a looking glass to view and make sense of the world around me. That’s most likely the reason I jumped into this medium as a profession - an endless journey of self-expression through picture and sound. So when I realized at a young age that I could “make TV” for a living, I never looked back. The mediums through which we consume content have changed and evolved through the years, but the essence hasn’t. It’s storytelling at its core - and who doesn’t love a good story? For inspiration, connection, or even education, it’s an engaging way to share information and ideas.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked on and managed productions all over the world. I’ve filmed professional athletes, CEOs, and top 100 designers. From the edit bay to the director’s monitor, I’ve worked with extraordinary talent and dear friends. I’ve met so many incredible people, heard their stories, their hopes, and their inspirations. I’m incredibly grateful to all of them for the unexpected journeys and raw honesty in front of the camera. Though after years working at television centers, production houses, and advertising agencies, I was ready for something new.

When it comes to John, it’s always been about music and self-expression. As a kid, John was always finding some new way to explore sound and music. It’s been a lifelong passion and a never-ending pursuit of musical growth. Throughout his career, John has continuously performed live and in the studio, been a music instructor, and assisted in sales of over a million dollars worth of musical equipment to countless seasoned and aspiring musicians and producers. John still teaches music and production, writes original music, composes scores for commercials and videos, consults in gear purchases, and lends his talents to bands across the southeast.

John on stage 2013

Our first collaboration was in 2014. I called John to compose an original song for a piece I was working on. That project won some awards and ultimately led to our continued professional partnership (and marriage).

We co-founded Tice Studios in 2018, creating a collaboration that combined our passions for elegant visuals and captivating sound. By the beginning of 2022, we were both full-time with Tice Studios, crafting an intuitive and intentional workflow that promotes optimal collaboration with our partners.

We have worked hard to fine tune our process in order to ensure quality, no matter your price point or scale. And for us, that is a big part of what we wanted to offer: scale. Having worked throughout our careers with big brands and small businesses, on large productions and modest projects, we came to realize how much we loved them both. So part of what we aim to create are scalable solutions for both video and audio. And at our core, we are long-game thinkers and creators. Regardless of scope, we make sure you are communicating the right message, for the right audience, at the right time.

So, if you are just getting your business off the ground, looking for a refresh, or tackling a new goal, and you are ready to take a dive into your visual and audio needs with a strategic partner, we would love to connect with you and help share your vision.
